Restylane Kysse uses crosslinked hyaluronic acid with BDDE, an ingredient that helps form a network of hyaluronic acid to provide a lip filler that lasts longer. It also improves the texture and colour of the lips, and allows patients to maintain their natural-looking expressions. With 0.3 % lidocaine and XpresHAn Technology™ incorporated, it ensures a more comfortable treatment experience and enables a perfect balance between volume and flexibility. Frequently Asked Questions About Lip Fillers

How long do lip fillers last? The longevity of lip fillers can vary depending on factors such as the type of filler used and individual metabolism. Generally, lip fillers can last between 6 to 12 months, however, since we use Restylane Kyss, our patients often say that their results last between eight months to a year. Periodic touch-up treatments can help maintain your desired results, the treatment can be repeated whenever the patient wishes or when they start noticing the filler beginning to dissolve or disappear.

How many ml’s would I need? The amount of filler required varies per individual and their desired result. Roughly 85% of our patients opt for 1 ml, often enough for a natural-looking enhancement. If you contemplate needing more than 1ml at your initial session, we suggest reassessing after the treatment. At a return visit after a few weeks, we can add more volume if desired. Gradual enhancement is preferred to avoid over-volumizing in one go. Many younger patients, even prior to their initial treatment, express interest in achieving more voluminous lips— or often still referring to it as “Kylie Lips”. This desired look usually requires two sessions, with 1 ml of filler administered at each visit, spaced a month apart.

Are lip filler treatments painful? At Natural Aesthetics, we prioritise patient comfort and safety during lip filler procedures by thoroughly numbing the lips with both local anaesthetic and medical-grade numbing cream. We also provide an ice brick for patients to use post treatment, to reduce post-treatment swelling.

Are lip filler treatments reversible? Lip fillers can be reversed if desired. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such as Restylane Kysse, can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This allows for adjustments or complete removal of the filler if necessary.
