Founded by Dr. Wade Merchant in 2015, Natural Aesthetics is a private, doctor-led aesthetic clinic group based in Cape Town, with branches conveniently situated in Green Point, Tyger Valley, and Somerset West. With over a decade of clinical experience, we offer safe, internationally recognised treatments and solutions with a results-driven approach.

From medical aesthetic and anti-ageing treatments to GLP-1 weight loss programmes, diode laser hair removal, advanced skincare, and luxury facials, each treatment plan is tailored to our patients’ individual needs. At the heart of Natural Aesthetics are our patients, cared for by our team of medical doctors, aesthetic therapists, and practice coordinators. Our Clinics

Each of our clinics operates as a private practice, offering a discreet experience and personalised care. All locations provide convenient access with parking available directly in front of each branch. Natural Aesthetics clinics are situated across Cape Town, with branches in Green Point, Tyger Valley, and Somerset West. We are open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:30, and on selected Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00.

Dr. Wade Merchant is the visionary co-founder of Natural Aesthetics and Skin Spot. In addition to his leadership in the aesthetics industry, he is also the founder and developer of the Active Ceuticals skincare range.

With an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from The Foundation of Professional Development (FPD) and a Cosmetic Science qualification from The Society of Cosmetic Chemists South Africa (COSCHEM), Dr. Wade is recognised for his expertise. He is also an internationally certified trainer for Galderma, conducting specialised training in the Cape Town region for medical professionals on the safe and effective use of dermal fillers, biostimulators, and skinboosters.

Dr. Melinda Dommisse

MBChB (Stellenbosch University)

Dr Melinda Dommisse is a highly skilled Medical Doctor with over a decade of experience in aesthetic medicine. A graduate of Stellenbosch University, she has developed a special interest in treatments that enhance natural beauty and improve overall well-being.

Dr Melinda specialises in Plexr Plasma treatments, Botulinum Toxin anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, biostimulator treatments, thread lifting, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapies. Her expertise also extends to body aesthetics, offering treatments such as cellulite reduction and advanced weight management solutions, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. Additionally, Dr Melinda provides specialised skin treatments like Polynucleotides for rejuvenation and Subcision for acne scarring, ensuring her patients feel confident and supported throughout their aesthetic journey.

 

Dr. Aimee Gericke

After completing a postgraduate diploma in emergency medicine, Dr. Aimee Gericke discovered her true passion in the field of aesthetic medicine. She is dedicated to enhancing natural beauty and promoting self-confidence through holistic, patient-centered care. Whether addressing facial aesthetics, weight management, or body aesthetics, Dr. Aimee employs advanced techniques combined with a compassionate approach to meet her patients’ unique needs.

Dr. Aimee’s expertise includes anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapies. She also offers body aesthetic treatments like penile enlargement, labial fillers and cellulite reduction, as well as weight management solutions such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. Antoinette Rudolph

Skincare Diploma (City and Guilds London)

Antoinette is a highly experienced Skin Therapist with over 12 years in the skincare industry, including 8 years specialising in aesthetics. Holding a City and Guilds London Diploma in Skincare, Antoinette combines her passion for skin health with a holistic approach to patient care. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting results while boosting their self-esteem.

Antoinette specialises in advanced treatments such as Diode Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation, Dermapen Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Cosmelan, Fractional Skin Resurfacing, and Radio Frequency therapies. Her personalised approach also includes customised facials, thorough skin assessments, and the use of medical-grade skincare products, ensuring each patient receives tailored, effective care on their skincare journey.

Cleo Kriel

SAAHSP, CIDESCO, ITEC

Cleo Kriel joined the Natural Aesthetics team in June 2020 as a Senior Aesthetic Therapist and has since advanced to the role of Group Executive of Administration and Operations. Holding national and international diplomas from prestigious institutions such as SAAHSP, CIDESCO, and ITEC, Cleo’s dedication to excellence in skincare, practice management, and operations is evident.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Cleo has developed advanced knowledge in medical-grade skincare treatments and product solutions. In her Group Executive leadership role, she is responsible for further optimising our customer and patient care experiences, as well as our administrative and operational processes. Cleo also supports staff development and management, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care and online shopping experiences across all three Natural Aesthetics clinics and our online store, Skin Spot.

Jana Wessels-Smith

Adv. Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics (ICA)

Jana is our dedicated Dermal Aesthetician and Head Therapist at the Tyger Valley practice. Hailing from Stellenbosch, she completed her secondary education at Stellenbosch High School before earning her Somatology Diploma from the esteemed ISA Carstens Academy. In 2019, Jana achieved an Advanced Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics, further enhancing her expertise.

With over five years of experience in the medical and non-surgical skincare industry, Jana’s passion lies in connecting with her patients and helping them build confidence through personalised treatments. Her extensive knowledge, combined with global training, enables her to deliver exceptional skincare solutions, reflecting her commitment to both her profession and her patients.

Heather Smit

Adv. Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics (ICA)

Heather Smit is a skilled Dermal Aesthetician based at our Somerset West practice. She earned her Diploma in Somatology from the renowned Isa Carstens Academy in 2022 and has recently completed her Advanced Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics at the same institution.

With a special interest in advanced treatments and medical-grade skincare, Heather offers expertise in Diode Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation, Dermapen Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Cosmelan, Fractional Skin Resurfacing, Radio Frequency therapies, and facials. Her proactive approach and attention to detail ensure a personalised experience for every patient, making her a valued member of the Natural Aesthetics team.

Margaux Krause

Health & Skincare Diploma (Camelot International)
SAAHSP, CIDESCO, ITEC

Margaux Krause is a qualified Skincare Therapist with a Diploma in Health & Skincare from Camelot International (2009), accredited by SAAHSP, CIDESCO, and CIBTAC. She began her career delivering exceptional patient care as a Skincare Therapist and has since transitioned into an administrative role at Natural Aesthetics. Margaux’s deep understanding of skincare, combined with her dedication to excellence, ensures the seamless management of patient experiences and operational efficiency.

Gina Clarke

Adv. Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics (ICA)

Gina Clarke is a dedicated and passionate Dermal Aesthetician, holding a 4-year Advanced Diploma in Somatology and Dermal Aesthetics from the prestigious Isa Carstens Academy. Gina’s empathetic nature and dedication to patient care make her an invaluable member of the Natural Aesthetics team, ensuring each patient feels supported and empowered throughout their skincare journey.

With a special interest in a range of advanced treatments, Gina offers expertise in Diode Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation, Dermapen Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Cosmelan, Fractional Skin Resurfacing, Radio Frequency therapies and facials.
