Treatments

Dermaplaning: Dermaplaning is a form of mechanical exfoliation that removes dead skin and the fine hairs on the skin. This is done by using a sharp surgical blade

Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion is also a form of mechanical exfoliation.  This is done by using a special instrument with a suction cup with an abrasive tip.

DF machine: The DF machine uses various forms of technology called Iontophoresis and Sonophoresis. These technologies allows for better product penetration of any serum that we apply onto the skin.

Acne Facial: This is a deep cleansing facial for acne skin. This facial includes deep exfoliation with steam followed by extractions if needed.  After these steps we apply a glycolic serum which will be massaged into your skin via our DF machine to enhance product penetration. The glycolic serum will help to resurface the skin and address any acne concerns. The last step is 10 minutes under a LED light. The settings of the LED will be concentrated on the Blue light which helps to kill any bacteria on the skin.

Facials are great for texture problems, mild acne skin, superficial pigmentation, sun-damage and overall skin maintenance for brightening up your skin.

1 Week before your treatment:

  • Start using a SPF daily even if you stay indoors
  • Avoid sun exposure
  • Don’t use any facial scrubs or exfoliators
  • Stop using the following products: Retinols (Retinoic acid Retin A/ Retinol/ Retinoic Acetate), Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic & Lactic acid) and Salicylic acid
  • No facial waxing in this week, needs to be done 2 weeks prior your treatment
  • If your skin is prone to sensitivity (e.g eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or stinging sensation or reaction from products) we advise to first come in for a consult that we can give you guidelines on how to prep your skin’s barrier so that you can tolerate the treatment better.
  • Should you be prone to cold sores or herpes infection please let us know – you may require two days of an oral anti-viral medication prior to your procedure in order to prevent a herpes break-out

Here are some important guidelines that will help you get the best out of your procedure

5 – 7 Days following your chemical peel or any other above-mentioned treatment:

    • If you start peeling, please do not pick or manually peel you skin away. This will cause scarring
  • If you are prone to acne, you may have a minor break-out on the 2nd/3rd day – this is normal and will resolve spontaneously

This facial includes three major steps. 1. Microdermabrasion. 2 Chemical Peel. 3 LED light therapy

This facial is great for texture problems, mild acne skin, superficial pigmentation, sun-damage and overall skin maintenance for brightening up your skin.

The Hydration facial is lovely to have just before an event. This is also a three-step facial.

  1. Superficial Chemical Peel
  2. DF Machine with a vitamin C serum
  3. LED Light Therapy

This facial is indicated for increasing hydration levels in the skin and sensitive skin. The chemical peel will leave your skin feeling soft and radiant, the type of peel will be chosen according to your skin needs. Vitamin C helps to brighten up your skin, this will be massaged into your skin Via the DF machine allowing deeper product penetration. The LED light therapy setting will also depend on your skin concern. There is no down time with this facial.

This facial includes Microdermabrasion and a retinol chemical peel. Retinol is a very versatile ingredient.  This Retinol peel includes 3% retinol in combination with Neocitrate (increases collagen) and Aminofil (topical plumper) to enhance collagen production. The peel is designed to exfoliate and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help to reduce acne. Combining Microdermabrasion with the retinol peel will allow for deeper product penetration promoting a bright, even, and clear complexion. This has minimal to no downtime.

This is a quick procedure, usually 30 minutes to 45minutes

If it is a superficial peel, you can start exercising after 24hours. If it is a TCA or a melanoplus we advise only after 48 hours.

With a superficial chemical peel, there is little to no down time. After the treatment you might be slightly flushed and might start flaking on the second or third day. With a deeper chemical peel like the TCA or melanoplus you will be very red and sensitive for a few days. You will also have extensive peeling for about 5 to 7 days

We advise to not wear foundation for the rest of the day. You can however apply lipstick and eye make-up.
