Nucleofill Polynucleotides

What are Polynucleotides?

Nucleofill-Polynucleotides-Injections-Cape Town

Essentially, Polynucleotides is a refined pure gel created from salmon DNA derived from sperm. Salmon DNA has good compatibility with humans, which is why it was chosen as a good origin.

Polynucleotides are an injectable bio-stimulator and a revolutionary anti-aging treatment. They use DNA chains derived from the nucleus of salmon or trout sperm cells to harness the bio-revitalizing powers of nucleotides. These injectables hydrate and rejuvenate the skin, providing a lasting glow and flawless complexion.

Introducing: Nucleofill Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are an injectable bio-stimulator and a revolutionary anti-aging treatment used to plump fine lines and wrinkles, address mild volume loss, and rejuvenate crepey or aged skin around the delicate eye area.

The new bio-restructuring gel of the Nucleofill range based on highly purified low molecular weight polynucleotides of natural origin, specifically created to improve the periocular area.

Discover Nucleofill Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are an injectable bio-stimulator and a revolutionary anti-aging treatment used to plump fine lines and wrinkles, address mild volume loss, and rejuvenate crepey or aged skin around the delicate eye area.

Performed by our medical doctors, each treatment involves a series of microinjections of Nucleofill Polynucleotides into the skin surrounding the eyes, also known as the periocular area.

The periocular area is an extremely delicate area. Constantly subjected to environmental pollution and constantly subject to movement when using facial expressions, the periocular area tends to age more rapidly than the rest of the face.

Nucleofill with highly purified polynucleotide matrix capable of activating the skin’s bio-regeneration processes both deep down (fat and bone tissue) and in the dermis (fibroblast stimulation).

Nucleofill determines three types of effects on the skin membrane (epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue):

  • Effect on the dermal-epidermal layer
  • Effect on the vascular level
  • Effect on the deep tissue level

Nucleofill – the unique characteristics of an innovative product:

  • Nucleofill is a gel composed of low molecular weight polynucleotide chain fragments
  • The high density but low molecular weight structure allows a fast penetration into the tissues and an efficient stimulation

It can take up to 3-4 days for the product to fully settle. During this period, you might experience swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising, itching, or notice small lumps or bumps in the treated area. Initially, there may also be asymmetry due to uneven swelling or the way the product settles. Typically, these conditions self-correct as the swelling subsides and the product integrates with your tissue.

  • Immediately after: You will have small lumps and bumps in the area that was treated – no need to worry though – these settle after a few days – the speed to which they disappear is dependent on your skin quality. You may experience mild tenderness, redness and swelling at the injection sites, which are normal and will resolve quickly. While rare, bruising may occur, which can be covered with concealer. Paracetamol can be taken for any tenderness or discomfort.
  • Ice Brick: Use an ice brick and gently press over the treated area for 15 minutes every hour in case of swelling.
  • Pressure & Touching: Avoid touching or massaging the treated area unless specifically instructed to do so. Avoid vigorous massage of the treated area for 48 hours.
  • Sleeping Position: There is no recommendation for how you sleep – sleeping on your side or your face does not impact the effectiveness of your treatment.
  • Postpone Exercise: Avoid engaging in exercise for 24 hours after your treatment. Physical activity can increase swelling and redness, hindering the healing process.
  • Stay Local: Long-haul flights must be avoided for 1 week post filler due to edema or swelling.
  • Delay Treatments & Procedures: Wait for at least two weeks before resuming any dental procedures, including dental cleanings and teeth whitening. During this period, also avoid surgeries or inoculations. Additionally, for at least two weeks after treatment, refrain from any form of hair removal, such as waxing, threading, laser, or IPL, as well as any skin or facial treatments.
  • No Makeup: Avoid unsterile makeup or facial products for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
  • Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Avoid consuming alcohol and taking blood-thinning medications or supplements (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 24 hours before and after the treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are a few of the most common questions and answers regarding the use of Nucleofill Polynucleotides. If you have other questions or concerns about this treatment, please consult with one of our medical doctors.

Essentially, Polynucleotides is a refined pure gel created from salmon DNA derived from sperm. Salmon DNA has good compatibility with humans, which is why it was chosen as a good origin.

Nucleofill is the manufacturer and brand of Polynucleotides we make use of at our practices. Thanks to its polynucleotide-based bio-stimulation technique, Nucleofill is specially designed for skin renewal and bio-restructuring. It is bio-revitalizing and can be integrated into a mesotherapy protocol.

The new bio-restructuring gel of the Nucleofill range based on highly purified low molecular weight polynucleotides of natural origin, specifically created to improve the periocular area.

Several sessions of Nucleofill Polynucleotides are needed to fully benefit from this treatment. One session alone will not resolve all issues. Most patients require a course of 3-4 treatments, spaced two weeks apart.

Polynucleotides are long chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA. They help with cellular repair and regeneration, moisturisation, and protection against harmful external agents such as UV rays.

The polynucleotide chains  attract and bind water molecules, allowing them to provide a strong moisturising effect, which can contribute to improved tissue elasticity.

Polynucleotides have a remarkable anti-free radical action. They counteract the skin damage which can accumulate due to various stressors, including cellular damage, stress, and exposure to UV rays, giving them a  protective and cell damage reduction role.

Polynucleotides creates an optimal environment for fibroblast growth, essential cells for tissue repair and regeneration.

Polynucleotides are derived from Salmon and can activate fibroblast and stem cells, enhancing the body’s natural capacity to regenerate skin cells.

This multi-faceted functioning classifies polynucleotides as regenerative treatments, offering a unique and innovative approach in the field of skin care and rejuvenation.

Typically, the effects of these treatments last 6 to 12 months. Regular treatments can provide more noticeable and long-lasting results.

Risks are usually minimal and may include temporary redness, or mild discomfort at the injection site. As these treatments use naturally derived substances, the risk of allergic reactions is significantly reduced.

  • Skin Regeneration: Polynucleotides stimulate cell growth and proliferation, enhancing collagen and elastin production, which are necessary for skin elasticity, firmness, and lift.
  • Wrinkle Reduction: They aid in reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture and smoothness by promoting the formation of new skin cells and enhancing overall skin health.
  • Hydration: They exhibit hydrating properties and improve the skin’s ability to retain water, promoting healthier and more supple skin.
  • Anti-inflammatory Effect: They can soothe and calm skin, reducing redness, irritation, and inflammation caused by various skin conditions, including acne, eczema, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea.
  • Versatility: They are effective in treating loss of elasticity around the eyes, like crepey skin, under-eye darkness, and are also useful for treating dull and aged skin, as well as fine lines, subtle volume loss and wrinkles.
  • Safety and Tolerance: Polynucleotides have an excellent safety record and are highly tolerated.
  • Quick and Lasting Results: Results can be seen as early as 20 days post-treatment, and the benefits have good longevity.
  • Cellular Turnover and Healing: They promote cell turnover, improve skin elasticity and hydration, and help heal sun-damaged skin.
