Your in-clinic treatment includes a bespoke skin resurfacing and rejuvenation experience, consisting of four-steps, each meticulously designed to safely and effectively rejuvenate your skin.
Step 1: Dermaplaning Facial
Dermaplaning is an effective and safe exfoliation procedure where we use a sterile surgical scalpel to remove the very top layer of skin, dead skin cells, and vellus hair. By stimulating the development of new skin cells, this type of exfoliation helps fresh skin rise to the surface, leaving our patients with more youthful and radiant skin.
Step 2: SkinCeuticals Chemical Peel
Your treatment begins with a professional skin consultation, during which your aesthetic therapist will select the most appropriate chemical peel for your skin type, condition, and concerns from our extensive range of options.
We’ll select the most appropriate option from the full range of SkinCeuticals chemical peels below:
- Micropeel: A great introduction to chemical peels. It is formulated to gently exfoliate skin, making it ideal for all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin.
- GL Peel: A Glycolic and Lactic acid chemical peel, indicated for aged and acne prone skin, with enhanced skin brightening effects.
- Pigment Balancing Peel: Suitable for patients with pigmentation and uneven skin tone, including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation like post acne marks, sun-damage and sun spots, as well as hormonal hyperpigmentation (melasma).
*Your chemical peel will be applied over the treatment area and neutralised after a specified period of time.
Step 3: SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Masque
SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Masque is an intensive calming, hydrating botanical facial masque which immediately cools the skin and reduces skin sensitivity on application. It has been clinically tested post-procedure to effectively reduce visual redness and discomfort, instantly cooling and calming the skin.
Step 4: LED Light therapy
Clinically proven wavelengths of light energy penetrate the skin, triggering the fibroblasts, cells which are responsible for collagen production and wound healing. It has a calming and soothing effect on the skin – an ideal treatment to combine with a chemical peel.
Downtime and Aftercare
Downtime is minimal to none. As always, SPF should be applied on a daily basis, reapplying every 4 hours when indoors and every 2 hours when outdoors. You may experience very mild skin flaking, if at all, for roughly 2 days, this should not be noticeable to others after cleansing and applying your Barrier Renew Cream (provided by us). Avoid makeup and exercise for 24 hours post-treatment. You may continue all other normal activities immediately after.
