How Botox Injections Works
The mechanism of action behind Botox and Dysport involves targeting specific groups of small muscles rather than directly injecting the wrinkles themselves. As a neuromodulator, Botox blocks the transmission of certain nerves that cause facial muscles to contract. By inducing relaxation in these muscles, the folds and wrinkles in the skin are reduced, resulting in a smoother and more rejuvenated appearance. Typically, the effects of Botox last approximately three months, with visible results becoming noticeable within 3-10 days after treatment.
