Chemical Peels

What Are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are advanced skincare treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall health by gently exfoliating the outer layers of the skin. At Natural Aesthetics, we offer medical-grade chemical peels that target concerns such as pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and dullness. Our expertly formulated peels from leading brands like SkinCeuticals, DermExcel, NeoStrata ProSystem, and Mesoestetic work to refresh and rejuvenate your skin, unveiling a smoother, more radiant complexion.

How Do Chemical Peels Work?

Chemical peels use carefully selected acids to remove dead skin cells, promote cellular turnover, and stimulate collagen production. Depending on the depth of the peel, they can address superficial concerns or penetrate deeper layers for more intensive skin renewal. Light peels, such as those used in combination with Dermaplaning or Microdermabrasion, provide gentle exfoliation and can be repeated every 2 weeks, while deeper peels help combat pigmentation, scarring, and signs of ageing, which should not be done more than once a month. Our skilled professionals tailor each treatment to your unique skin type and concerns to ensure optimal results with minimal downtime.

Why Choose Chemical Peels Over Other Treatments?

While Microneedling, Laser Resurfacing, and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) are effective treatments, chemical peels offer a non-invasive yet powerful alternative. Unlike laser treatments, chemical peels do not involve heat, making them suitable for sensitive skin. They also provide more controlled exfoliation compared to Microneedling and IPL, ensuring a customisable approach to skin renewal. At Natural Aesthetics, we utilise cutting-edge formulations to deliver safe, effective, and results-driven treatments, making us one of Cape Town’s leading skincare specialists.

Chemical Peels use various types of acids that are applied to the skin to address multiple concerns. This is achieved by removing the outermost layer of the skin. Chemical Peels are great for superficial pigmentation, acne, Post Inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation, anti-aging, and any texture irregularities.
